Brand Selection
Hello and good evening, I'm Teddy Canidate. Currently, I’m in the digital marketing program, seeking my bachelor’s degree. Today I will be discussing the biggest soft drink brand in the world, Coca-Cola, the company I chose for this month’s case study brand. I chose this brand because of its popularity. This brand has been around for over two hundred years and still is one of the biggest brands in the world today. Another reason that I chose the company is that its roots are deep in the city I'm from, Quincy, Florida. Many families became wealthy due to the company's location back then and from investing in Coca-Cola stock. By the end of week 4, I expect to learn a lot about the brand and the way the company handles business and keeps the number one spot.
Cola syrup was sold as medicine or dietary supplement for an upset stomach. By the time of its 50th anniversary, the soft drink had touched the status of a national icon in the US. In 1935. This brand has been around for over one hundred years and still is one of the biggest brands in the world today. The product portfolio of this brand is huge! Coca-Cola offers 3,900 soft drinks. Coca-Cola is currently operating in more than two hundred nations internationally. And it has made its large presence in all those countries alike. All this became likely because of its widespread supply chain administration.
